„Find your inner creative hotspot“
In their long touring history, this never happened: In 2011, Crumbs will come out to Europe twice! First in spring, touring march 28th till june 1st, then again in october and november. Since 2001 Crumbs perform a few months in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Sweden and the Netherlands improvisational theatre – or freestyle comedy, as they call their shows.
Based on interwoven storylines and authentic characters Crumbs create their own style of improvised theatre. Their absurd and profound humor, the authenticity of their stories and the complete confidence in each other has made Crumbs the darlings of the improv scene internationally. Longform improvisation that blurs the line between comedy and tragedy.
Crumbs: Stephen Sim and Lee White
Crumbs have started their improv group in 1997, after they had been working with several comedy and improv troupes in Winnipeg, Canada. Since then, their unique style has enthused audiences and improvisers around the world.
Stephen Sim is the artistical director of the international improv festival in Winnipeg, the IF. He runs the Manitoba improv league in association with the Canadian Improv Games and is also doing stand-up comedy. He has worked as a teacher for improvisational theatre all over Canada and Europe. Lee White has been working as an actor in comedy since the early 90ies and is also known as teacher for improvisational theatre, especially concentrating on longform improvisation.
Their congenial DJ Hunnicutt will accompany them on tour in october 2011. The amazing "soundtrack artist" enhances the show to the power of awesome. The show has what seems to be a whole studio department scoring each scene, which supports the cinematic style that Crumbs are known for.

"... Some critics have (wrongly) accused Crumbs of pre-scripting their performances, but one can see why: they move effortlessly between scenes and characters, while demonstrating a near telepathic ability to follow each other's cues."

"Once again, Winnipeg's perennial improvisational sharpshooters manage to hit the comedic bull's-eye with no target in sight." -Carolin Vesely, Winnipeg Free Press 2006
